Let's Go Fly A Kite...

It was the PERFECT day to fly a kite today! After I got off work, Nathan and I took Brooklyn to Romer Park, and flew his kite that he got for Easter. Brooklyn, (well and Nate too) had a blast! It was so hilarious to see how excited Brooklyn was.

Oct. 14, 2011: I was downstairs FREAKING out about my math homework, while Brooklyn was watching a movie in the next room. I kept getting frustrated and saying "I SUCK, I am Horrible at math! I SUCK!" Nate came down to help me and I was still feeling troubled. Brooklyn heard, and came into the room, and so sweetly and innocently, he said "Mom sucks, huh Dad." haha! Lesson learned!
Lately: He has been doing things like this lately. Brooklyn will break some rules, and we will take something, like a toy or a favorite activity away, and then Brooklyn will get upset, and take something away from himself. Like for example, It was bed time and he threw a fit about brushing teeth, so I took a toy away. He then responded " Fine! I just wont sleep with any blankets tonight then!" to which I responded "OK, fine." Then he said, " I guess I just wont sleep with a pillow tonight either!" Ha ha. The kid kills me! :)
July 4, 2011: Today Brooklyn looked at his arm when the sun was shining on it. He noticed his arm-hair and said "Mom! Look, I have fur on my arms!"
May 30, 2011: At dinner we had pasta salad with mini pepperonis in it. Brooklyn said "Hey! Pepperonis don't live in salad! They live on pizza!"
April 24, 2011: While we were out at breakfast with some family, Alex (Nathan's brother) was teasing Brooklyn by blowing into his straw, causing his drink to bubble, and telling Brooklyn that his straw was upside down. Brooklyn could not figure it out! It was hilarous. He kept saying "It's not working!"
April 22, 2011: Brooklyn had a bag of Cheetos and said "Please mom open this! My teeth are hungry!" I had previously told him that there was no way his tummy was hungry, becuase he had just chowed down on his dinner, Ha!
December 23, 2010: Brooklyn came and stood by me on the couch and said "Hey look I am as big as you!" I said "yep, you are. Go put on your shoes so that we can go to grandma's." and he replied "Ooo can I drive?" I laughed and said he wasn't big enough, and then he said 'But I am as big as you!"
December 18, 2010: I was wearing a jacket with a hood lined in faux fur, and Brooklyn said "Mom! You're a superhero!"
November 19, 2010: While singing happy birthday, when we came to the part "happy birthday dear Brooklyn", he stopped us and said, "NO, say Superman!" (instead of "Brooklyn".)
June 2, 2010: Nate and I were teasing Brooklyn, and he said "Stop you silly chicken nugget!"
May 5, 2010:( While outside) Brooklyn: "Mom look at the birds!" Mom: Oh yeah, they are cute. Can you hear them talking to each other?" Brooklyn: "Yes they says "Feed me little Brooklyn, Feed Me." Mom: You're right!"
April 29, 2010: Brooklyn insists on adding the words "Pooh-Butt" to the end of everyone's name. I have NO IDEA where this came from. Today in Home Depot, he kept saying, "I love you Mommy-Pooh-Butt!"
April 22, 2010 At the checkout at Joann's Brooklyn pointed at the cashier and said, very loudly, "Hey mom, I not like her". I was SO EMBARRASED! (easy to tell that he is ALL BOY, with this and the Michael's experience.)
April 15, 2010: (While playing with his toy frog) Mom: "Whats your froggy's name?" Brooklyn: "Ummm, Froggy Buttcheeks."
April 3, 2010: While shopping at Michaeal's he told the lady at the register, "I not like this place."
